LENTEN BIBLE STUDY __________________________

Topic: NAMES OF GOD—investing and Appreciating God’s Name

In the Bible, God reveals Himself to us through various names.  In this 13-lesson study of the names of God, the names will be studied in order, as God progressively reveals Himself through dispensations.  From studying these 13 names of God, you will have a wonderful "Lenten journey into knowing God."

Lesson titles include: The God Who Created You, When You Are Afraid, A Name You Need To Remember, When You Really Know God, When You Feel God Doesn't Care, Experiencing God's Power, When Life Seems Unfair, Don't Worry—Trust God, Receiving God's Healing, Enlisting God in Life's Battles, Finding Inner Peace, When You Feel Guilty, and When You Feel All Alone.

Community Good Friday Service

The public is invited to attend Community Good Friday Service at Central United Methodist Church, 912 Fourth Avenue, Lake Odessa. This special service is offered by the Lakewood Area Ministerial Association (LAMA). The Association provides spiritual ministries and emergency support to families in the Lakewood community through Benevolence Funds contributed by the association’s churches and area businesses.  

This annual Good Friday Service is part of on-going activities in Churches during the Holy Week. Gathering with area pastors and churches, the service will be graced with special music from Choirs of different congregations on the theme “What Wondrous Cross is This.”

Bring friends and families to share in the celebration of the journey of Christ to the Cross of Calvary.



Our Souper Thursday volunteers offer an Adult Respite program at 1:30 every Thursday. 


A home-style Community Dinner is prepared and served beginning at 4:30.   all are welcome to attend. Donations are accepted but not required.



The Fresh Food truck from Feeding America delivers fresh food and produce to our parking lot for distribution beginning at 2:00 pm. available to all families in need.
